PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device capable of suppressing the occurrence of indentation in a raceway surface when an impulsive moment load is applied to a wheel.SOLUTION: A hub unit 1 includes an outer ring 2 to be fixed to a knuckle 12 of a vehicle, an inner shaft 3 and an inner ring 4 rotatably supported on the outer ring 2, and a plurality of rolling elements 5 arranged between each of raceway surfaces 2a and 2b formed on the inner periphery of the outer ring 2 and each of raceway surfaces 3a and 4a formed on the outer peripheries of the inner shaft 3 and the inner ring 4. At one end in the axial direction of the inner shaft 3, a flange 3c is formed to be protruded radially outward so that the wheel is mounted thereon. At the outer peripheral face end of the outer ring 2 on the side of the flange 3c, a protruded member 9 is integrally formed to be protruded radially outward to the vicinity of the side face of the flange 3c. When an impulsive moment load is applied to the flange 3c, the flange 3c is deformed and the side face of the deformed flange 3c comes into contact with the protruded member 9. |
