DECORATIVE MEMBER

[Problem] To provide a decorative member that produces a blackish luster derived from metal while demonstrating superior wear resistance and having a reduced weight. [Solution] The two features of wear resistance and reduced weight are achieved by applying, on a decorative member, a cermet constituted by a hard phase including at least two of TiCN, TiC, TiN, and MoC2 in a proportion of 70 to 97% by mass with the remainder being constituted by a binder phase and unavoidable impurities. It is also possible to provide a user-friendly decorative member that satisfies all of wear resistance, reduced weight, and blackish metallic luster by finishing the surface roughness of the decorative member to a mirror finish state.
