This core member constitutes at least part (an inner core section (31)) of a magnetic core in a magnetic component (e.g., an inductor) provided with the following: a coil that has a coil element comprising a coiled wire; and the aforementioned magnetic core, part of which is inserted into the coil element. This core member (inner core section) comprises a plurality of molded cured bodies assembled together, each of said molded cured bodies containing the following: up to 75 vol% of a soft-magnetic powder; and either a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin. At least one of the surfaces where the molded cured bodies constituting the core member (inner core section) are joined together is parallel to the direction of magnetic flux.
