A communication control method for causing a cellular communication system to cooperate with a wireless LAN system comprises the steps of: storing, in a cellular base station, the position information of a wireless LAN access point; acquiring the position information of a user terminal connecting to the cellular base station; determining, on the basis of the position information of the wireless LAN access point and that of the user terminal, whether to cause the user terminal to connect to the wireless LAN access point; and, if it is determined that the user terminal is to be caused to connect to the wireless LAN access point, transmitting, to the user terminal, an instruction of scanning for the wireless LAN access point. |
