[Also in Group VI] A resilient stopper 6 for the receptacle 5 of a blood collecting apparatus has a hollow plug portion 10 with tapered walls 11 and a head portion 15 with recess 17 and a diaphragm 19 extending across and closing the tube intermediate the ends of the stopper, compression of the stopper during insertion causing the diaphragm to bulge inwardly. In use the diaphragm is pierced by a hollow needle. |
