A taper roller bearing that has excellent characteristics of lubrication oil circulation to exibit stable lubrication performance for a long period and that is extended in length in the axial direction to increase its rated load capacity. The taper roller bearing has an inner ring (51), an outer ring (52), tapered rollers (53) rollably arranged between the inner ring (51) and the outer ring (52), and a retainer (54) for holding the tapered rollers (53) at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction. A flange (56) for guiding the tapered rollers (53) is provided only on the large diameter side of the outer diameter surface of the inner ring (51). The retainer (54) is a resin retainer having a large diameter side annular section (61), a small diameter side annular section (62), and pillars (63) for interconnecting the large diameter side annular section (61) and the small diameter side annular section (62). An outer diameter end section (62a) of the small diameter side annular section (62) is placed closer to the radial center of the retainer than small diameter side end sections (63a) of the pillars (63). |
