<p>A transmission (11) comprises a first transmission component (13) that is rotatable about an axis of rotation and includes engagement means for a force transmission element that are or can be arranged on the first transmission component. A second transmission component (15) is freely rotatable relative to the first transmission component (13a) and about the axis of rotation. At least one guide track (17a, 17b) extending helically in approximately circular paths from the inside to the outside, is provided on the second transmission component. At least one movable sliding part (19a, 19b) has first engagement means for a first force transmission element and lateral guide members that can cooperate with the guide tracks (17a, 17b), so that the movable sliding part (19a, 19b) can be displaced along the guide tracks (17a, 17b). A first end of the sliding part (19a, 19b) is articulated to the first transmission component (13a), while the second end thereof is articulated to the first end of the sliding part. An adjustment device allows the first and second transmission components to twist relative to one another. Thereby the diameter of the circle formed by the two sliding parts is enlarged or reduced, so that a continuously adjustable transmission is formed. The transmission (11) is further characterized in that second engagement means, e.g. a gear or a shaft, for a second force transmission element, e.g. a drive chain or drive belt, are provided on the first transmission component (13).</p> |
