发明名称 CENTRIFUGAL CASTING METHOD FOR OUTSIDE LAYER OF ROLL FOR ROLLING
摘要 PURPOSE:To form the finer structure of an outside layer after quick cooling and to execute casting without laminar defects by applying a mold coating material prepd. by using the granular particles of a limited mesh of a high melting point metal as aggregate and a thermosetting resin as a binder onto the inside surface of a metallic mold for centrifugal casting. CONSTITUTION:The high melting point metal to be used as the aggregate is a ferrous material such as iron or the alloy thereof, etc., or a metal having a high m.p. such as copper or alloy. The size of the granular particles thereof is specified to 40-300 mesh. The material prepd. by using the thermosetting resin such as phenolic resin as the binder and coating the aggregate with the resin is used as the mold coating material. After a mold coat 2 is formed on the inside surface of the metallic mold 1 for centrifugal casting by applying the above-mentioned mold coating material thereon, the molten metal of the desired outside layer material of the roll for rolling is poured to the inside surface of the metallic mold 1 and the outside layer 5 is centrifugally cast. The binder is then burned and is penetrated among the granular particles, by which the movement in the axial direction is prevented and the laminar segregation is prevented. In addition, the latent heat of solidification is transferred to the metallic mold and the outside layer 5 is more finely grained.
