The present invention relates to a falling-ore prevention apparatus for a conveyor belt which is capable of preventing ore from falling by inducing transferred ore to the center of a belt. The falling-ore prevention apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is used for a conveyor belt transferring items, comprises a pair of balance control units fixed on a support beam supporting transfer rolls of the conveyor belt and arranged to face each other on the sides of the left and right ends of the belt, which is provided on the conveyor belt, in the direction of progress of the belt; a pair of gap measuring electromagnets adhering to the balance control units respectively and measuring a gap between the ends of the belt; and a control unit selectively operating the balance control units according to information of a gap between the ends of the belt, which is transmitted from the gap measuring electromagnets, wherein at least one of the balance control units extends toward the other balance control unit which is installed to face the balance control unit, so that a gap between the ends of the belt can be reduced by folding and raising the ends of the belt. |
