An energy supply unit (15) supplies electrical energy to a control drive (6) for opening or closing the breaker. A control unit (14) comprising a timer (18) outputs a signal for opening or closing the breaker via the control output (19) and determines a time-based switching behavior of the breaker based on the measurement signal if the breaker is closed.
