The present invention relates to a method for culturing Cordyceps bassiana mycellium through optimization of lighting and medium conditions. The present invention provides a culture medium for the Cordyceps bassiana mycellium containing peanut powder, walnut powder, and pine nut powder and a method for culturing Cordyceps bassiana mycellium in the same culture medium in utter darkness. The culture medium and culturing method increase the production of sitosterol and squalene and decrease or inhibit the production of toxic molecules including beauvericin and enniatin B. |
