The present invention relates to a sintered polycrystalline diamond with improved impact-resistance and thermal-stability and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a method of manufacturing a sintered polycrystalline diamond including: a coating layer forming step of forming a tungsten coating layer by spraying a tungsten particle on a cement substrate containing a metal binder component; and a sintering step of sintering a diamond powder on the tungsten coating layer to carbonize the tungsten coating layer by a carbon eluted from the diamond powder and allow the carbonized tungsten coating layer to aggregate the metal binder components penetrating from the cemented substrate to the diamond particle. According to the present invention, since the diamond power is sintered after spraying the tungsten particles on a cement disk interface corresponding to a face surface of a diamond compact at high speeds without an additional medium member and applying the particles to the disk; the content of a metal binder such as cobalt, or the like, penetrating from the cement disk may be controlled and the bonding stability between the diamond and the carbide layer on the interface may be provided. |
