Disclosed are an electrode including a mixed composite of self-assembled carbon nanotubes and sulfur for a lithium sulfur battery, and a manufacturing method thereof. An electrode active material can include a carbon nanotube agglomerate in which carbon nanotubes are self-assembled to be aggregated in at least one form among a sphere, an ellipse, a crushed sphere and a crushed ellipse, and sulfur filled in the inner space of the aggregated carbon nanotube agglomerate.
