The present invention relates to a cathode active material for a lithium-sulfur battery and a manufacturing method therefor and, specifically, to a cathode active material for a lithium-sulfur battery, comprising: an amphiphilic polymer having a hydrophilic part and a hydrophobic part; and a sulfur-carbon composite, and a manufacturing method therefor. When the cathode active material is used in the manufacture of the lithium-sulfer battery, electrical conductivity, cycle characteristics, and capacity within the electrode can be improved.
