PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument suitable for a ballpoint pen, a marking pen and the like which prevents ink straight flow phenomenon and backflow phenomenon by controlling a flow pressure of ink being imposed on a pen point at a constant pressure, which can decompress an ink tank at the time of cap opening even when a pressure inside the ink tank for accommodating ink during the writing instrument storage becomes high, and which prevents leaking out of ink from the pen point during usage.SOLUTION: A writing instrument includes a suppression mechanism for suppressing a straight flow of ink 25 filled in a refill 11, which is an ink tank, at a rear part of a writing instrument body 10. At a front part of the writing instrument body, a pen point and a cap body 30 for sealing the pen point 20 are mounted, and at the rear part of the writing instrument body, a decompression member 50 having flexibility is provided for decompressing the inside of the refill according to the opening of the cap body 30. |
