<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a heat transfer area without increasing the volume of a nip member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 comprises: a cylindrical fixing film 110; a heating element (a halogen lamp 120) which is disposed on the inner side of the fixing film 110; a nip member (a nip plate 130) which is disposed so as to slide with an inner surface of the fixing film 110 and receives radiation heat from the heating element; and a backup member (a pressurizing roller 150) which sandwiches the fixing film 110 with the nip member to form a nip portion between the backup member and the fixing film 110. On the heating element side of the nip member, a plurality of recessed portions 131B formed by shaving is provided.</p> |
