The invention concerns a tyre comprising a crown reinforcement formed from at least two working crown layers of reinforcing elements and at least one layer of circumferential reinforcing elements. The axial ends of the working layer of reinforcing elements radially closest to the carcass reinforcement are inverted to cover the axial ends of a working crown layer radially outside the layer of circumferential reinforcing elements, the reinforcing elements of at least said working layer radially closest to the carcass reinforcement having a diameter of less than 1.1 mm, said reinforcing elements themselves consisting of wires of a diameter of less than 0.3 mm and satisfying the following equation: (Fr x 4 cos2α) / (P x 0.75 Pg x Ø) < 5.5. |
