The spanner (1) has a prolonged profile (2) and an arbor (8) that is provided at an end (3) of the prolonged profile. The arbor is plugged under a bar of a fire-hydrant lid. A hammer mechanism includes a hammer (11) that is moved along the prolonged profile, and a stop unit (12) for the hammer is provided at another end (4) of the prolonged profile. A transverse pipe (6) is position-fixedly arranged at the former end of the prolonged profile and connected with the prolonged profile over a diagonal bar (7). A spanner nut piece (17) is arranged at the latter end of the prolonged profile. The spanner nut piece is designed as a square recess.
