PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sonar image processing apparatus capable of accurately searching for an object that appears only in some sonar images and is difficult to be separated from noise, without decreasing an S/N ratio.SOLUTION: A sonar image processing apparatus 10 of the present invention includes: intra-image evaluation means 20 for evaluating continuity in each of N sonar images to identify coordinates of a first echo; inter-image evaluation means 30 for evaluating continuity between the N sonar images to identify coordinates of a second echo; correction means 40 for correcting the level of coordinates other than those of the first echo and the second echo; and combine and output means 50 for selecting a maximum level value for every coordinate from the corrected N sonar images, and combines the selected maximum level values with respect to the entire coordinates to output the combined maximum level values as a processed sonar image. |
