<p>The invention relates to a polyethylene composition comprising (a) multimodal polyethylene (b) vitamin E type stabiliser (c) polyphenolic compound comprising ester groups and (d) phosphite wherein the weight ratio (b): ( c+d) ranges between 1:1 and 1:2. The composition is applied in the production of pipes having improved resistance to chlorine dioxide containing water.</p>
