<p>The present invention relates to a method for surface treating a magnesium alloy through an anodic oxidation method comprising: a surface pretreating step for removing a material, which interferes that an oxide covering layer is formed on a surface of the magnesium alloy or which changes properties of the oxide covering layer, from a surface of the magnesium alloy; and an anodic oxidizing step for inserting the magnesium alloy passing through the surface pretreating step into an anodic oxidation solution including 4.0-7.0 mol of hydroxide ion, 0.1-1 mol of silicon ion, and at least more than one among potassium silicate, potassium pyrophosphate, and aluminum nitrate, and oxidizing the magnesium alloy by applying the voltage of 70-100 volt.
