PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage compartment for a raw fabric which prevents the raw fabric from being disorderly wound or deformed to ensure stable operation even if the raw fabric is formed by winding a paper weakened by a chemical applied thereto. SOLUTION: The body part of this storage compartment 70 for the raw fabric includes a storage compartment body 72 formed in a cylindrical shape opened at one end. A disk-like lid member 76 which can open and close the storage compartment body 72 through a hinge 74 is attached to the opening one end side of the storage compartment body 72. Two free belts 84 for guiding a secondary raw fabric R when the raw fabric is inserted into the storage compartment body 72 are installed at the lower part of the storage compartment body 72 to be positioned parallel to each other.
