<p>The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same. The liquid crystal display device according to the present invention includes: a gate line and a data line which are crossly arranged by interposing a gate insulating film and define a pixel area; a protection film formed on the upper part of a substrate where the gate line and the data line are formed; and a common electrode and a pixel electrode formed on the pixel region to drive liquid crystal of the pixel region by interposing the protection film. A plurality of liquid crystal alignment force reinforcing patterns extended in parallel with the rubbing direction actually are formed on the upper plane of at least one of the gate insulating film or the protection film. Therefore, alignment control power can be reinforced by forming a rugged pattern on the alignment layer formed on the upper part of the rugged pattern by forming the rugged pattern along the rubbing direction on the upper plane of at least one of the gate insulating film or the protection film. Rubbing mura can be improved consequently, by reducing rubbing fault generated in the rugged shape of both end sides along the length direction of the data line.</p> |
