The strip (1) has a surface element side facing portion (2) and a frame profile side facing portion (3), which are pivotally held together by a film hinge (4). The portions are movable from an elongated position to a superposed position. The portions are laterally arranged with respect to each other in a cross-section side in the elongated position. The portions partially abut with each other outside the hinge in the superposed position. The hinge is integrally formed with the portions. The strip is made of foam material i.e. closed-pore resilient plastic. An independent claim is also included for a frame profile formed as a composite section.
