<p>A water-jetting system is provided for use with ships, boats, yachts, barges and any other vessels in shallow water. It does its job by washing out the sand, silt and the mud from beneath the vessel, using jets of high pressure water pumped by a pump 3 through ducts (6, Fig 1) distributed across the vessels hull 1 and directed against a seabed obstruction. The system may be used to free vessels accidentally grounded on sand- banks or to release those held on the seabed by a vacuum force. The system may also be used to maintain the depth of waterways through which a vessel is travelling.</p> |
