<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier capable of amplifying a signal with high efficiency over a wide amplitude range.SOLUTION: The power amplifier includes: an amplifier; a matching circuit that matches an output of the amplifier with a pre-designated impedance and includes a variable reactance magnetic device with a reactance varying with a magnetic field; an amplitude detector that detects an amplitude of an input signal of the amplifier; and a magnetic field control circuit that applies a magnetic field corresponding to the amplitude detected by the amplitude detector to the variable reactance magnetic device.</p> |
