[Problem] To transmit/receive higher resolution image data using existing wireless devices without images breaking even if image processing is performed alongside changes in the wireless environment. [Solution] This transmission device is provided with: an image acquisition unit that acquires image data at a first resolution having pixel information containing color information; an image conversion unit that eliminates the color information from at least a portion of the pixels of the acquired image data, rearranges the pixel information of the plurality of pixels, and converts to image data at a second resolution that is lower than the first resolution; and an output unit that outputs the image data converted from the first resolution to the second resolution by the image conversion unit to a transmitter of which the maximum resolution of image data that can be wirelessly transmitted to a reception device is the second resolution.
