摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member having a protection film which has both characteristics of friction wear resistance and lipophilicity.SOLUTION: The sliding member has a metal base material formed of a sintered metal material and a diamond-like carbon layer formed at the upper part of the metal base material via an intermediate layer, and the intermediate layer has at least a metal substrate layer on the metal base material. The diamond-like carbon layer is constituted of only a single-layer low-hardness diamond-like layer at the metal base material side and a single-layer high-hardness diamond-like layer at the opposite side of the metal base material side.
