<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that can include a carrier, a targeting agent, and a therapeutic agent.SOLUTION: A composition comprises: a carrier selected from the group consisting of a non-cationic polymeric carrier, a liposome carrier, a dendritic carrier, a nanomaterial carrier, a biostructural carrier, and a micelle carrier; a targeting agent operatively associated with the non-cationic polymeric carrier (where the targeting agent comprises: a retinoid; and a therapeutic agent operatively associated with the non-cationic polymeric carrier (where the therapeutic agent exhibits therapeutic activity upon delivery to a target organ or tissue, and where the therapeutic activity is selected from the group consisting of inhibiting fibrosis within the target organ or tissue and inhibiting the growth of a cancer cell within the target organ or tissue).</p> |
