PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a survey assistance apparatus capable of emitting a laser beam suitable for use as a reference for accurately inspecting surface layer thickness d of a road.SOLUTION: A survey assistance apparatus includes: a base 11 having an apparatus reference point 116 to be aligned with a survey reference point 211 at the bottom thereof; a laser oscillator mounting rod 13 which is pivotable about the apparatus reference point 116 in a vertical plane; a mounting condition checking level gauge (mounting condition checker) 16 which indicates horizontal when the laser oscillator mounting rod 13 points vertical; a laser oscillator 14 which emits a laser beam and which is movable in the longitudinal direction of the laser oscillator mounting rod 13 and pivotable about a central axis, or a common perpendicular of a line which is parallel to the laser oscillator mounting rod 13 and passes the apparatus reference point 116 and a laser beam axis; and a laser beam tilt angle meter 15 which measures a tilt angle of the laser beam relative to the horizontal. |
