The present invention relates to a deodorization apparatus using chlorine dioxide and ion exchange fibers and to a method therefor. More particularly, the present invention relates to a deodorization apparatus using chlorine dioxide and ion exchange fibers and to a method therefor, wherein the present invention comprises: a step of removing oxidation from a malodorous substance generated from a malodor generating source, such as a sewage/wastewater treatment plant, a food waste treatment facility, a feces and urine disposal plant, and a stockbreeding farmhouse, by forcedly contacting the malodorous substance with chlorine dioxide; a step of removing adsorption from the malodorous substance using an ion ball having ion exchange fibers embedded therein; and a step of regenerating the ion exchange fibers using a regeneration liquid and simultaneously removing the malodorous substance. Said steps are combined to achieve maximized efficiency of removing malodor.
