<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, method, and program for outputting maps, capable of preventing degradation of visibility due to superimposed icons and of easily identifying locations of features. <P>SOLUTION: A map output system includes area acquisition means for acquiring a prescribed specified area Ar1 on a map specified by a user, and icon placement means for placing icons on the map. The icon placement means places an aggregation icon I<SB POS="POST">1</SB>inside the specified area Ar1 on the map, sets an icon display area that includes the aggregation icon I<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, and places second icons I<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, corresponding to features in the specified area, inside the icon display area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
