An embodiment of the present invention provides an emergency start apparatus of a fuel cell vehicle having a motor as a driving source, which includes a fuel cell for supplying electric power to a motor; an air blower for supplying air to the fuel cell; a high voltage battery for supplying electric power to the air blower; a DC converter for increasing the output of the high voltage battery and transferring the increased output to the air blower; and a first switch for transferring the output of the high voltage battery to the air blower or interrupting the output of the high voltage battery, wherein if the DC converter breaks down while being driven by the high voltage battery, the voltage of the high voltage battery is directly transferred to the air blower to drive the fuel cell. Accordingly, a start performance and a restart performance during a stop of the fuel cell can be improved by using a voltage of the high voltage battery as an emergency logic when a DC/DC converter breaks down during a start or stop of the fuel cell. |
