The welding device (1) comprises a welding wheel (3), a heating unit (70) for heating the welding wheel, a separating device for separating the film, and a counter-pressure device (6). The counter-pressure device comprises a circulating belt (4) which is partially wound along the outer periphery (A) of the welding wheel, such that a compressive force is formed between the belt and the welding wheel, for welding the films with each other.
