A method and an apparatus for analyzing motion context are disclosed. The method for analyzing motion context performed by a computer comprises the steps of: acquiring sensor data according to the movement of a user through an acceleration sensor and a tilt sensor built in a mobile device; and analyzing motion context of the movement of the user using the sensor data.
