An accumulator has tubular electrodes each comprising a central metal rod a surrounded by a radially spaced slitted tube d of insulating material at the inner wall of which a porous lining f of plastic material is fitted, the active material e being located between the rod a and the lining f. Preferably, the lining f is made of perforated polyvinyl chloride or polystyrene sheet cut into one or two parts to form a tube with one or two vertical splits. The outer tube d may have one or two internal vertical ribs serving as abutments to the ends of the lining f at the vertical division thereof. Specifications 598,415 and 726,234 are referred to. |
