A method for authenticating at least two agricultural machines coupled via a data bus, comprising the following steps: each of the agricultural machines coupled with the data bus is subjected, automatically and independently of the or any other agricultural device, to an authentication process by an authentication device, which is also coupled with the data bus; subsequently, a direct data exchange or indirect data exchange is automatically enabled between the successfully authenticated agricultural machines, while any data exchange with an agricultural machine that has not been successfully authenticated is disabled. |
