According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for measuring the temperature of molten steel in a turndish comprises: a thermocouple measuring the temperature of molten steel stored in a turndish; a fireproof material having the thermocouple inserted thereinto; a temperature measuring head which grips the thermocouple and the fireproof material; a supporting arm which is connected with the temperature measuring head and supports the temperature measuring head; a supporting rod which stands and is installed on one side of the turndish and is connected with the supporting arm; a lifting unit lifting the supporting arm along the supporting rod; a base connected on a lower part of the supporting rod; and a rotating unit rotating the base. The temperature-measuring head includes: a housing which has an open upper part and a movable groove vertically cut on a side surface thereof; and an upper supporting plate and a lower supporting plate which are installed in the housing, vertically arranged apart from each other, and have an upper through hole into which the thermocouple is inserted and a lower through hole into which the fireproof material is inserted, respectively. The upper and lower supporting plates additionally include an upper moving slot and a lower moving slot communicating with the upper and lower through holes and the movable groove to provide a movement passage of the thermocouple.
