An apparatus for processing vehicle accident data comprises an accident detection unit for detecting the accident of a vehicle via a G-sensor and for storing an accident video taken using a front camera and the position of the vehicle measured using a GPS sensor; a vehicle stop determination unit for determining whether the vehicle stops and for generating accident data including the position of the vehicle, the accident video, and a breakdown code if the vehicle has stopped; and a data transfer unit for transferring the accident data. The present invention can notice the accident situation ahead to the vehicles approaching from behind more quickly and in advance, prevent additional vehicle accidents, and allow safe handling of accidents. |
