PURPOSE: An audio signal decoding, decoding method, and apparatus thereof are provided to prevent degradation of sound quality for a high frequency signal by relatively reducing bit rates generated by decoding the high frequency signal by using a linear prediction coding analysis. CONSTITUTION: A decoding apparatus decodes a low frequency signal of an audio signal through a predetermined core decoder(710). The decoding apparatus creates a residual signal of a high frequency signal in the audio signal by using the decoded low frequency signal(720). The decoding apparatus decodes the high frequency signal through a linear prediction coding synthesis method(730). The decoding apparatus restores the audio signal by combining the decoded low frequency signal and a high frequency signal(740).
