PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode collector foil of a lithium ion secondary battery, capable of improving high-rate charge/discharge characteristics while suppressing an increase in cost and deterioration in strength of a positive electrode collector, and also obtaining high productivity; and a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode collector foil 1a of the present invention comprises a zinc-containing aluminum alloy foil, and has a surface on which a pit 1d for receiving a particulate positive electrode active material is formed. The aluminum alloy foil preferably has a composition having a Zn content of 0.1-1.5 mass% with the balance of Al and inevitable impurities.
