PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively separate Au from a solution containing Au and Ag while maintaining adsorption capacity of an adsorbent comprising tannin gel with respect to Au even if the solution contains a salt of Na at a high concentration of 1-2 mol/L.SOLUTION: In an Au element recovery method, a solution containing Cu ions is added to and mixed with a solution containing elements including Au and Ag and a salt of Na so that the Cu concentration is in a range of 2-10 ppm, thereby preparing a first mixed solution, and an adsorbent comprising insoluble granular tannin gels is added to and mixed with the first mixed solution, thereby preparing a second mixed solution. While maintaining the temperature of the second mixed solution in a range of 30-60°C, the Au elements contained in the second mixed solution is adsorbed by the adsorbent, and after the adsorbent is separated from the second mixed solution, the adsorbent having adsorbed the Au elements having been separated from the second mixed solution is subjected to incineration treatment to recover the Au elements. |
