PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag increased in pressure resistance by protecting a sewing thread from damaging by heat and increasing strength near a sewn part, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An air bag including one, two or more panels is constructed such that at least a part of the panel has a projection piece and the projection piece is folded to cover a nearby sewing thread. A manufacturing method for the air bag including one, two or more panels includes the step of obtaining a panel having at least one projection piece, the step of folding the projection piece, the step of executing sewing from above the folded projection piece, the step of further folding the projection piece to cover the sewing, the step of coupling the end of the projection piece with the projection piece near the sewing thread, and the step of reversing a bag body through an inflator fitting port. |
