PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller capable of preventing a motor from spontaneously shifting to a direction of rotation opposite to the one in which it was rotating after stopping for loss of synchronization.SOLUTION: The motor controller exerts control to drive a stepping motor, and, after determining whether the stepping motor has stepped out, executes a post step-out determination process. The motor controller first turns the stepping motor in a direction opposite to the one in which it was rotating when step-out determination was made, and then stops the stepping motor (S121, S122). Then, while determining whether or not the stepping motor is in a step-out state, the motor controller turns the stepping motor in normal direction again with low torque (S123-S125). When the stepping motor is determined to be in a step-out state, the stepping motor is made to stop. |
