<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles which can reduce the thickness of a treat than conventional one and prevent a treat curl from being produced, a steel cord obtained thereby, and a pneumatic radial tire including the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles in which N pieces of sheath filaments 2 are twisted around a core 1a formed by aligning M pieces of untwisted core filaments 1. When the diameter d1 (mm) of the core filament 1 is set to be bigger than the diameter d2 (mm) of the sheath filament 2, and the maximum of the major diameter of the obtained steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles is set to be L, and the average spiral forming amount of the core filament 1 is set to be H (mm), the spiral forming on the core filament 1 is performed so as to meet the formula H≥L before N pieces of sheath filaments 2 are twisted around the core 1a.</p> |
