An apparatus and a method for controlling the temperature of a rolled steel sheet by changing a feedback control period are provided. The apparatus for controlling the temperature of a rolled steel sheet by changing a feedback control period comprises a winding temperature sensor measuring the coiling temperature of a rolled steel sheet being transferred at a predetermined threading speed; a temperature control module which transmits an injection start command to a feedback bank to inject cooling water to a surface of the rolled steel sheet according to a control period so that the measured coiling temperature follows a target coiling temperature; and a control period calculation module which calculates the control period based on the threading speed of the rolled steel sheet and a distance between the feedback bank and the coiling temperature sensor. Therefore, the apparatus for controlling the temperature of a rolled steel sheet can stably and precisely control the temperature of the rolled steel sheet at a desired coiling temperature. |
