PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, as to a final POI on a route or in a periphery of the route all the way to an arrival at a destination, a user cannot be notified to the effect that a POI is the final POI before arriving at the destination.SOLUTION: The navigation device comprises: a map information storage part in which map information having one POI information or more is stored; a route information storage part in which route information indicative of a route from a departure point to a destination is stored; a POI information acquisition part that detects POI information indicative of a POI on the route indicated by the route information or in the periphery of the route and having the shortest distance to the destination or time thereto from the map information, and acquires the detected POI information; and an output part that outputs the acquired POI information. As to a final POI on the route or in the periphery of the route all the way to an arrival at the destination, the navigation device can notify a user of the effect that a POI is the final POI before arriving at the destination. |
