PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate noise from a binding section without requiring excessive labor or wasteful image reading or copying.SOLUTION: In an image processing section 2, a width identifying section 11 identifies a width between both ends of an input image of a book for each line of the input image. A parameter value identifying section 12 identifies a value of a concentration correction parameter corresponding to a width identified by the width identifying section 11. A concentration correction section 14 corrects a concentration of one line on the basis of a value of a concentration correction parameter identified by the parameter value identifying section 12.
