PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dredged sediment separating method for enabling easy and inexpensive construction and efficient separation of foreign matter mixed sediment into sediment components and foreign matters such as chips.SOLUTION: A grab bucket 2 has permeation parts 11, 11 in the bottom for sediment components 22 to permeate therethrough. The grab bucket 2 dredging foreign matter mixed sediment 20 from a water bottom A is moved to a water surface, separation promoting work is repeated for moving up and down the grab bucket 2 from the water surface to separate the foreign matter mixed sediment 20 into the sediment components 22 and foreign matters 21. The separated sediment components 22 are only settled on a water bottom A through the permeation parts 11, 11. Then, the foreign matters 21, 21 remaining in the grab bucket 2 are collected.
