PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately controlling a surface potential of a photoreceptor after exposure at a developing position.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a charging device that charges an image carrier; an exposure device that forms a latent image on an image carrier; a transfer device that transfers a developing device image to be developed to the image carrier, and a toner image from the image carrier to recording paper; a surface potential detection member that detects a surface potential of the image carrier after exposure; and an electrode that is arranged between an exposure position and a surface potential detection position, and applies an electric field to the image carrier. The image forming apparatus further includes feedback means for feeding back the surface potential measured by the surface potential detection member as an imaging condition. |
